Sunshine

Well, my last post was about fun in the snow and this one is about fun in the SUN!

These pictures are from 2 different days and 2 different parks last week. We had beautiful spring-like weather and the kids and I spent most of Tuesday and Thursday (Genna's non-school days) enjoying it!

On Thursday we met these guys and their baby sister to play. We don't see each other near enough, but the kids play together as if they see each other every day! They all got along really well and we were all sad to go (really, I think all of the kids were crying as we left!).

Genna has started "posing" for pictures. I have a hard time getting normal shots of her.

These two were not sure of each other. Andrew kept trying to steal Reagan's cup and she was NOT going to let that happen!

We always joke around saying that these two will probably be married one day. They remember each other even if it has been months between visits. They really were sweet and stuck together for a good bit of the time at the park.

Andrew learned to climb up on this elephant and the horse by himself, so he spent a good part of the day on them. If I tried to help him, he would push my hands away.

Snow!

We've had tiny bits of snow, snow flurries, and ice this winter, but FINALLY we got some real snow! It started Wednesday night as we were leaving church and continued for several hours.

Genna woke up at 6:15 a.m. and we went outside to play before Brian had to go to work.

Later, I took Andrew out to play before it all melted away.
Over and over, he said his favorite words..."Ball...frow it." Then he would throw whatever little bit of snow was in his hand.

Genna mostly enjoyed eating the snow.

One Sunday in January

Genna and Andrew in their matching outfits (believe it or not, I bought BOTH at consignment sales and they happened to be the right sizes!)

AU/AL hockey game

Sorry I've been gone for awhile...there has not been a lot going on in our world lately, so not much to blog about. Plus, my camera has just been sitting in my purse with what few pictures I did have on it. I got it out tonight, so here is what we have been up to for the last few weeks...

We went to an Auburn/Alabama Hockey game when they were in town playing. Genna was excited to wear her cheerleader uniform. You can't see it in any of the pictures, but she insisted on wearing her pink boots with it.

This little guy sat like this for about 30 seconds before he started hitting the nice person in front of us with his shaker. He and I spent most of the game walking around.

Our friend, Reese...silly girls.

This was the only other way to keep Andrew still.

Ice 2011

We were all excited about snow this weekend, but it didn't quite happen here. We got lots of ice instead. It does look much like a thin layer of snow, but it just isn't the same.

Our deck on Sunday night...

Monday morning we did go outside and attempt to play a little. Genna enjoyed throwing balls of ice and watching it break apart.

Andrew just wandered around while I chased him making sure he didn't slip. It was fine as long as we stayed in the grassy areas, but the driveway was pretty slippery.

New Year's Day

No, we did not buy a lawn mower. We just went to Lowe's and sat on the lawn mowers while Daddy looked at other things.

I don't think this was New Year's Day, but it was sometime around then. We picked up doughnuts and the kids just had to have hats...

Guess how long this one lasted?

See him reaching for it? Yeah, not much longer.

And, yes, those are pajama pants and Genna is using her bathrobe tie as a scarf.

Day after Christmas snow!

I realize this is a little late, but I just got these pictures off of my camera. I had forgotten all about them!
Anyway, we did not have a white Christmas like some people did, but it did snow some the day after. Even though we didn't have much, we did go outside and play in what we had. Mostly, it was just cold!

Remember how I said that Andrew was terrified of his stick horsie? Well, it took a couple of days, but he now loves it! Here he is the very first time he played with it. Up to this time, he liked to watch other people ride it; just not him.
