Thanksgiving

I know...it's been a month since I posted anything! Nothing worth writing about has been happening around here.
We did travel during Thanksgiving to see Brian's brother and his family who we have not seen in 3 years! We had a great time catching up with everyone! Unfortunately, I really didn't take that many pictures. Here are a few, though.

Thanksgiving dinner...what is she eating? ICE!

Genna's favorite thing to do was drawing on the chalkboard. Notice she has her monkey, George, sitting in the rocking chair so he can watch her.

The "artist" at work. In case you can't tell, she's drawing balloons. She's gotten pretty good at anything related to a circle...smiley faces, balloons, sunshines, etc.

Enjoying Fall

Last weekend, the weather was so nice that we decided to take a picnic lunch to Aldridge Gardens and enjoy some family time. We had a great time walking trails, looking at scarecrows and most of all, playing ball.

I thought this picture was funny....she had just thrown the ball and was giving it all she had!

Halloween Part 2

TRICK OR TREAT!!!
We went with our neighbors, Jack and Sam, to trick-or-treat last night. We only went to a few houses, because we knew the kids would not last long, but they seemed to have a good time!
Before we left, I told Genna to stand beside the scarecrow for a picture. Apparently, she thought I said hug the scarecrow :-)

Trunk-or-Treat

We have had such a busy week!!! I am going to need to make a new post every day to cover it all! Last Sunday, we had trunk-or-treat at our church. Genna decided to be a cowgirl this year. Our sweet cousin, Mary Beth gave her some red boots and the whole costume was created from there!

I guess we'll have to re-name the blog!

Pumpkin Patch

Today we went to the Pumpkin Patch! Genna had a great time smelling sunflowers, playing on the inflatables (she's fearless...she slowed the whole crowd down climbing up the slide, but she was insistent on doing it herself!), riding the tractor train and picking out a pumpkin. It was a fun day. Unfortunately, the pictures are not great...the sun was very bright and she is squinting in most of the pictures because of it. That's okay, though. It was worth it for such a beautiful day!

in the tepee...

I tried so hard to get a cute picture sitting on a hay bale with pumpkins, but as I said, that sun was so bright!

Hayride to get our pumpkin!

She had to stop at practically every pumpkin and try to pick it up...

I think we found one!

trying to decide...Daddy narrowed it down to 3, then Genna picked from there.

BOO!

We got "Boo'ed" tonight by our sweet cousins Luke, Mary Beth and Nick. For those of you who have never heard of this before, you leave a bag of goodies at the front door of someone's house, then they are supposed to pass it on to someone else. It's really a fun game for a neighborhood to do.
Genna LOVED all of the little toys (Mama hid the candy for tonight) and had a great time going through her bag and finding new things to play with.

The bag had a light-up pumpkin necklace (which she really wanted to wear to bed), a spider ring, a Halloween cup, a pumpkin bendy straw, tattoos, eyeball glasses and lots of candy.

Here she is pretending to drink from her new cup with her new fun straw.

and trying on her silly glasses...

I don't think she could see through them, so she kept lifting them up like this...
