Andrew's 2 year old pictures

I took Andrew (without Genna this time) to have pictures made today. I was VERY pleased with them this time! He did so great and even smiled! In the past, we've had serious faces which is fine, but smiles are preferred, of course.

Easter Sunday pictures

Easter 2011

Sorry it's been so long, and yes, I realize Easter was a month ago, but here are the pictures (Sunday will be in a separate post)...
The weekend before Easter we went to Memama and Grandaddy's to have some fun. We dyed Easter eggs, and were in town for Miss Delaine's annual Easter Egg Hunt.

Andrew's first time to dye eggs! Genna did most of them, but she did save him a few.

It took him a minute, but Andrew got the hang of this egg-hunting thing, even climbing under bushes to get to them.

Poor Genna had to miss Miss Delaine's because she had walking pneumonia. It was okay with her...she got to spend that time with Grandaddy riding the horse and hunting eggs at their house.

On Easter weekend, we celebrated Andrew's birthday, too, so we had all of the family here for a couple of days.
Genna and Mary Frances are such sweet friends!

We went to an Easter Egg Hunt at church, too. All around the gym, there were stations set up that would take you through the events of Holy Week, ending at the cross.

Genna was called up to the front to tell the crowd why we celebrate Holy Week and Easter. Let me tell you just how nervous I WAS!!! She said she wasn't at all. She did a great job and told everyone that "Jesus died on the cross"

All 4 kids with the Easter bunny (you can't see her, but Memama's there, too, holding Andrew - HA!)

He's TWO!

My little man is 2 years old (yesterday). I can't figure out where the last 2 years have gone! Andrew is Mama's baby, but he does love to play with Daddy and "Nee-Nee" (Genna). He wants to do whatever Genna is doing and he watches her constantly. He's talking a lot more in the last month or so...favorite words, of course, are "mine" and "no", but there are a lot of other sweeter words than those. He is doing very good saying please ("twease") and thank you ("tan tu") and he usually follows thank you with you're welcome "my wecome". He eats whatever you put in front of him and he wants to eat all day. I guess he needs the energy because he is go-go-go all day, then he crashes at naptime and bedtime.
He likes to walk around with the phone saying "hey" over and over to Memama, Grandaddy and Grandma. Lately, he likes to sing Happy Birthday to whoever is around at the time. Genna has taught him to add "Cha-Cha-Cha" now like some of the kids in her class do.
Andrew LOVES books. We went to storytime at the library on Monday and I was very nervous about how he would behave, but he did great! He sat and listened to all of the books just like the older kids did and he followed along with the dances and songs that they sing.
He loves trucks and balls and doesn't sit still long enough to watch much TV. He has discovered that he likes Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and can name all of the characters. He calls it "Meeska" because at the very beginning of the show they say the "magic words...Meeska Mooska Mickey Mouse" He doesn't usually make it through the show, though, before he is up running around again (or asleep). He also loves the plastic animals that he got for Christmas. He rides them around in his trucks and he calls his tractor "Grandaddy's tractor." He's really growing up and changing every day now from a baby to a little boy...now if we could just grow some hair on his little bald head he might look like he's 2!

We love you, Andrew!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!
